What if I schedule a private reading with Steve and there is no contact made?
No medium who is honest claims to makes a meaningful connection every time they do a reading. Unfortunately there are mediums out there that make such outlandish claims. You should be weary of people like this even if they have written some best selling books.
It rarely happens with Steve, maybe one in a hundred or less, but if you schedule a private one on one session with Steve he doesn’t pick up on anything for you he doesn’t charge you, plain and simple.
Why hasn’t Steve been tested by scientists who study mediums like what we read about in books like The After Life Experiments?
First, Dr. Gary Schwartz the author of the groundbreaking book, The After Life Experiments has concluded his experiments and no longer tests mediums. While there are some private for profit organizations, there is no research being conducted that we are aware of presently that is being funded by an accredited University in the United States or elsewhere.
Second, Steve’s work was tested under the national public eye for 8 years on live radio. There were no rehearsals, no do over’s, no editing and most importantly: anyone with a telephone could call in and find out for themselves. Listeners heard things live exactly as they happened. Steve knew people’s names, their dates, how they died and other detailed information that was impossible to guess. And while anyone can get on the internet and say whatever they want, you can’t be on the air that long and not be exposed if you are not doing legitimate work. If Steve had been doing anything fraudulent it would have been very easy to catch him. So while Steve believes Dr. Schwartz’s work is profound and eye-opening, testing in a laboratory was simply not necessary for him.
How does he do it?
Steve loves to joke that he has the only job in the world that to do well requires you to not think about anything. Steve simply quiets his mind and the information floods in.

Do our loved ones on the other side need to be dead for a certain period of time before they can come though?

Can I hold someone Earthbound with my grief?
No, absolutely not. The people who started this claim were the same people who made money by offering “rituals” to help the poor earthbound spirit free. There is nothing you can do to cause your loved one to become a ghost.
What if I’m a skeptic, or I bring a skeptic to one of your groups—can that effect the process?
There is nothing you can do to negatively impact your loved one’s ability to make contact. That is another myth perpetuated by less gifted intuitives trying to save a bad reading. Many skeptics have been converted into believers by witnessing first hand the authentic process of this world class medium.
Do I need to worry about becoming possessed or experiencing something frightening during my reading with Steve?
Absolutely not! People describe a session with Steve as a wonderful, warm and loving family reunion. In fact Steve used to affectionately refer to his show as America’s family reunion program. It is quite common for a sitter to tell us their reading with Steve was the best reading they’ve ever had.
Why are Steve’s private sessions only by phone and can I record my call?
Steve has conducted over 31,000 readings on the phone. It is in his opinion the best way for him to conduct a one on one private session. All he hears is your voice on the other end of the phone and your loved ones on The Other Side, keeping him from being influenced by other factors. Because this medium works so well for him in the one on one setting, it’s the only way he will do a private session. You are encouraged to record your call. Putting the phone on speaker and placing a recording device next it provides very satisfactory results.
I’ve heard Steve doesn’t place a time limit on his private readings, is this true?
Steve may be the only medium in the world that doesn’t place a time limit on the session. He will keep going as long as your loved ones on The Other Side are coming through, and will make sure you can get to all of your questions. Steve also understands that sometimes sitters forget to ask something they really wanted to know about. So if you hang up after a couple of days and a question comes up, Steve allows you to email him and ask your question EVEN AFTER THE READING IS OVER. No other intuitive will do this. Unlike other intuitives he doesn’t find the work taxing on his body. Steve believes in doing a thorough job and does not quit just because a bell on a timer rang.
